Guidelines for Grant Applications

Who can apply for Greendale Education Foundation grants?
Current employees of the Greendale School District

What kind of projects can be funded?
Projects that are aligned with the curricular goals and/or the strategic plan/goals of the Greendale School District

Are there dollar limits?
There are no specific dollar limits. The amount will be based in part on the amount of dollars available and the potential impact of the project. The project should not take the place of any program currently being funded.

How do I apply?
Applicants must fill out a Grant Application Form in its entirety, stating the project’s objectives, staff involved, time line, and expected outcomes. A Budget Form must also be filled out and submitted with the application. Completed applications should be sent electronically to efg@greendale.k12.wi.us, and must include the signature page. Principals and Curriculum Facilitators sign for schools. Directors sign for district-wide programs.

When can I apply?
The Foundation has established three grant cycles – September, February, and May. Applications must be received no later than the first day of these months in order to be considered for approval at the subsequent Board meeting. A grant application may be submitted up to 6 months prior to the cycle for which it is intended.

What criteria will be used to evaluate applications?
Greendale Education Foundation Board members will review applications and make awards based on the project’s alignment with curricular goals and/or the District’s strategic plan/goals as well as consistency with the Foundation’s mission and available funds.

How will I know if my grant is approved?
Applicants will be notified in writing within one week following the meeting at which the Board voted.
