Education Foundation Sponsors Guest Reader
Due to a generous grant from the Greendale Education Foundation, Highland View, College Park and Canterbury schools were treated to a weekly guest reader. Jerry Bertram, a professional voiceover actor, used his vocal talents to read to our elementary students. You’ve likely heard his voice on McDonald’s, Pick ‘n Save and the famous Parkay commercials. Jerry Bertram first read to schools at the request of a teacher friend. When he received such a positive reaction, he realized how important it was to read aloud to kids. Word got out… and now Mr. Bertram is reading to various school districts across Southeastern Wisconsin.
